Cory A. Machande age 49 of Clinton, died Thursday May 5, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday, May 8th at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Sunday 3 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. A memorial has been established for his daughters’ educational fund. Casket bearers will be Baron and Tanner Loots, Josh and Emmett Machande, Doug Kutzli, and Gary Knutsen.

Cory was born on Jan. 3, 1962 in Fort Dodge, IA, the son of Herman and Alice (Knutsen) Machande. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1980. He worked as a warehouse dispatcher at Family Dollar in Maquoketa. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his three daughters, collecting antiques, especially Coca Cola items, and going to the pond on the family farm.

Cory is survived by his three daughters, Aubreigh, Keidyne, and Caelan Machande; his mother, Alice Machande of Clinton; a sister, Carmen (John) Loots of Charlotte; two nephews and a niece, Baron and Tanner Loots, and Danika Loots. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Machande and grandparents, Sy and Edna Knutsen and Herman and Johanna Machande. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
