Edith M. Stetson, age 88, of Clinton died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 10th at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Paul Conway, Bruce and Jim Reick, Jack Smith and Jim and Vince Nippers.

Edith was born in Harrison, Nebraska on June 23, 1922, the daughter of Jesse and Minnie (Swearingin) O’Connar. She married Arthur Stetson on October 23, 1945 in Nebraska. She was a commercial fisherman, seamstress, farmer and homemaker. Edith was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Eagle Auxiliary, Grand Island, Nebraska. She enjoyed crocheting, hunting, fishing, gardening, canning and dancing.

Edith is survived by several nieces and nephews including Marialice (Steve) Rutledge of Claremont, NC and great friends, Paul and Sue Conway of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three sisters; Grace, Alice and Mary. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
