Elaine H. LeDoux, 94, of Camanche died Thursday March 24, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. There will be no services. Elaine donated her body to the University of Iowa Anatomical Gift Program. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements.

Elaine Harriet Beardslee was born on December 28, 1917 in Clinton, the daughter of Harry “Bonnie” and Anna Winifred (Tigh) Beardslee. She was a 1936 Clinton High School graduate. She attended Century College in Chicago.

Elaine was employed as a physical therapist at the Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago for several years.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church and the Ostomy Group.

She enjoyed watching tv and dining out. Elaine loved her family no matter how far apart they were.

She is survived by one brother: F.C. “Pat” (Nan) Beardslee of Colonial Heights, Virginia; nephews: Brad, Bruce and Bryce; niece: Blythe, and neighbors and special friends: Joy (Lynn) Payne of Camanche who will miss her dearly and says “she was a lady with grit”.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
