Barbara Ann Barrows, 61, of Camanche died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Barbara Ann Barrows, born on December 9, 1949 in Clinton, was the daughter of Orville and Norma (Faur) Barrows. Barbara was a 1968 Camanche High School graduate. She attended Clinton Community College and the University of Iowa.

Barbara, a homemaker and self-employed artist, enjoyed gardening, painting, and ceramics. She was actively involved with Pathway Living Center and was a member of the Clinton Art Gallery. Barbara was a loving mother, sister, and daughter. She treasured her family and friends as they were an important part of her life. In the last few years, Barbara accomplished goals she set for herself and was the happiest she has ever been.

Barbara was survived by her son, Nate (Elle) Barrows of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Ross (Sally) Barrows of Fort Smith, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Carol Barrows of Flint, Texas; Travis (Shelly) Spidle of Des Moines, Iowa and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Barrows, and sister, Gloria Mangler.
