David R. Wilson, 82, of Clinton, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00am to the service time at the funeral home.

David R. Wilson was born on December 13, 1928, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Roy and Marie (Ocker) Wilson.

He was a 1946 graduate of Clinton High School.

He operated Roy Wilson and Son’s Furniture Refinishing & Repair his entire life.

He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church and the Power Squadron.

He is survived by his sister: Deborah Chase of Tampa, Florida; three nephews: Justin, Brian, and Nick Chase of Florida; two nieces: Lynn (Charles) Steen of Clinton, and Laurie (Jim) Krol of Moline, IL; four great-nephews and one great niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Peter C., and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
