Miles, Iowa - Harvey F. Eickert age 80 of Miles, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, March 26th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday 11:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Lonnie Eickert, Shane Eickert, Brett Hoyer, Shawn Coppess, Braeden Hoyer, Drake Hoyer, Aiden Eickert, James Buhlman, Cory Coppess, and C.J. Unruh. Harvey was born on Jan. 6, 1931 in Clinton, IA, the son of Walter and Lucinda (Schroeder) Eickert. He married Jenean Ronnfeldt on Jan. 27, 1954 in Clinton. Harvey was a farmer, drove semi truck hauling cattle to Chicago, drove truck for Leroy Wilke in Andover and worked for Feeder’s Supply in Miles. He enjoyed fishing, woodcrafts, carpentry, and in his earlier years bowling at the Odeon. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Jenean of Miles; two sons, Lenral “Pete” (Brenda) Eickert and Lonnie “Hans” (Rhonda) Eickert both of Preston; two daughters, Laurie (John) Hoyer of Miles and Lesley Eickert of Arlington Heights, IL; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbert Eickert and Virgil Eickert of Clinton; three sisters, Bernadine (Lyle) Cornilsen of Miles, Geraldine (Harlan) Miller of Teeds Grove, and Joan Paulsen of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Leanne Eickert, and a sister, Arlene Pretz.
