Joyce Co. President Found Dead
Mrs. Beatrice (Joyce) Kean, 49, who maintained a residence at 1818 N. 3rd St., was found dead in her apartment in Chicago Thursday night.
Her lawyer, Cushman Bissell, said Mrs. Kean was found by her maid. The cause of death was listed as unknown by her family doctor.
Mrs. Kean was president of Joyce Lumber Co. in Clinton, which was founded by her uncle, James Stanley Joyce.
She was married to Chicago socialite John D. Richardson II. After their divorce, she married Dr. Dudley Kean.
No funeral arrangements have been set.
