Glenn Plummer

Glenn A. "Skinny" Plummer, Jr., of Camanche, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.

Glenn was born October 1, 1933 in Sanford, Michigan the son of Glenn Alrid and Leona A. (Rowe) Plummer. He married Ella Harris December 25, 1952 in Midland, Michigan.

He was employed at Clinton Corn Processing and Standard Brands for more than twenty years and worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for sixteen years. He was a great fast pitch softball player and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Ella of Camanche; twin sons, Lynn (Rose) Plummer and Glenn (Deb) Plummer both of Camanche; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters, including his very special sister, Bev Plummer; one special niece and two special nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Memorials may be made to the family.
