Chris Christoff

Chris Christoff, 87, of Bedford, TX, formerly of Clinton died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Community Hospice of Texas, Hospice House. Graveside services will be 10:30am Monday, February 14, 2011, at Springdale Cemetery in Clinton. Military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Chris Christoff was born on December 19, 1923 in Fort Dodge, IA, the son of Velico and Rhoda (Georgiva) Christoff. He was a Clinton High School graduate. He was a United States Navy veteran serving on the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier in the South Pacific Theater during WWII. After his service to his country he attended Cornish College of Finer Arts in Seattle, WA.

He was employed for many years at DairyPak as a commercial design artist.

Chris is survived by his daughter: Patty (and Her Husband, J) Minick, 2 grandsons and 4 great grand children of Bedford, TX; 3 sisters: Jennie Hansen of Colorado Springs, CO., Irene Vaughn of Clinton, and Rosemary (Bob) Weiser of West Burlington, IA, and one brother: George Christoff of Camanche.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and 2 sisters.
