Jeanne E. Glendenning, 88, of Clinton, died, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus in Clinton.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the First United Presbyterian Church, Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Norm Holle, Bill Rickerl, Thom Rickerl, Stephen Hill, and Aaron Casler. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00am to the service time at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Jeanne Ellen Krauss was born November 3, 1922 in Beatrice, Nebraska, the daughter of Forrest and Edyth (Walker) Krauss. She married Roy Glendenning on January 13, 1944 in San Diego, California. He died August 4, 2002.

She was a 1940 graduate of Clinton High School and a 1941 graduate of Mt. St. Clare College. She was a Medical Secretary for Dr. Rockwell for 4 years before working at Bluff Medical for 11 years.

Jeanne was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and on the library committee.

She is survived by two daughters: Sally (Timothy) Petersen of Clinton and Bonnie (Gary) Huss of Camanche; one son: Jeff (Judy) Glendenning of Clinton; and 2 grandchildren: Heather (Stephen) Hill of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Trisha (Aaron) Casler of Waukee, Iowa; and three great-grandchildren: Tyler Hill, and Ellie and Cole Casler.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
