Clinton, Iowa - Dale F. Feaster age 81 of Clinton died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, Feb. 19th at the First Congregational Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Friday 4 – 8 pm at the Pape Funeral Home and Saturday Noon until the service hour at the church. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded. Casket bearers will be Kevin, Danny, Scott, Robert, and Jeffrey Ebensberger, Rick DeCoster, Troy Puckett, and Louis Zearing. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Aldredge, J. Drew Chambers, Darrell Parker, Danny Florence, Thomas Tegeler, Raymond Vens, William Killean, Thomas Lyons, John Papritz, Leon Frick, Elvin Hirl, and Rich Timmer. Dale was born on July 12, 1929 in Moline, IL, the son of Paul and Emilie (Cowley) Feaster. He graduated from Orion High School in Orion, IL. In 1953 he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois, majoring in Agricultural Economics and Business, where he was an alumni of the Agri, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He also holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking and membership in the National Association of Master Appraisers.

Dale was a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force, serving from 1953-1956, later being discharged in 1962. He married Barbara Thiebaud, his first marriage and mother of his five children. He later married Debbie Ebensberger on March 5, 1990 in Miami, FL. He accumulated over 35 years in banking, serving as bank president of Illinois Regional Bank in Princeton, IL, the former Iowa State Savings Bank in Clinton, IA, and the Farmers National Bank in Geneseo, IL. In 1989 he joined an investment group where they purchased three banks in Bureau and LaSalle County in Illinois. In 1992, Dale sold his ownership in the group to Citizens Bank of Princeton, IL. Upon serving his management contract, he retired in July 1994. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Clinton. When not looking for investment opportunities, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading, and gardening.

Dale is survived by his wife, Debbie of Clinton; five children, Kenneth (Laura) Feaster of St. Louis, MO, Debbie (Dr. Thomas) Johnson of Ames, IA, William (Debbie) Feaster of Clinton, Donna Kearley of Wheaton, IL, and Alan (Maria) Feaster of Glenview, IL; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Wilson of Beaverton, OR; a sister-in-law, Sherry (Kathy) Ebensberger of Grand Junction, CO; five brother-in-laws, Kevin (Priscilla) Ebensberger of Glendale, AZ, Danny Ebensberger of Clinton, Scott (Caroline) Ebensberger of Clinton, Robert (Sheila) Ebensberger of Clinton, and Jeffrey (Dawn) Ebensberger of Clinton; his mother-in-law, Bernie Ebensberger of Clinton; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
