Charlotte, March 2—(Special)—Thomas A. KETELSEN, 50, vice president of the local school board, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the University hospital at Iowa City. He submitted to an operation on his nose recently and complications developed which caused his death.
The body is at the late home where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by rites in the Lutheran church at 2 p.m. The Rev. A. H. DELETZKE will officiate. Burial will be in the Glahn cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1885, in Ockholm. Schlesvig-Hostein, Germany, and on April 10, 1890, came to America with his parents. He was married Dec. 22, 1908 to Selma ANDERSON.
Surviving are his wife, eight sons and three daughters, including Emil, Leroy, Mrs. Alta PASSIG, Esther, LaVerne, Edwin, Velma. Arlo, Raymond, Alva and Ronald; three sisters, Mrs. L. O. PETERSON nad Mrs. Carl JACOBSEN of Charlotte and Mrs. Hannas KRUSE of North Dakota; and a brother Sanike of North Dakota.
Two daughters, Viola and Loretta, a son, Donald, and a brother, Andrew, preceded him in death, besides his parents.
