Charlotte-Emil A. KETELSEN, 91, Charlotte died Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte with the Rev. Terry ELLIS officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt. Interment will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew EBERHART, Kevin DELL, Kirt DELL, Joel ELDRED, Mark ELDRED, Chad KETELSSEN, and Jason KETELSEN.
He was born May 2, 1909, in Charlotte to Thomas and Selma ANDRESEN KETELSEN.
On Jan, 11m 1933, he married Emma PLOOG in Charlotte. She died Aug. 15, 1984.
He farmed in the Charlotte area all of his life.
He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, a member of the Charlotte School Board, where he served as president, a member of the Charlotte Fellowship Club, the Charlotte Fire Department, the Clinton and Jackson counties Dairy Herd Improvement Association and the Lutheran Laymen’s League. He also delivered meals on wheels.
Survivors include; a son, Tom KETELSEN, Of Charlotte; three daughters, Carol EBERHART of Charlotte, Mrs. Janice (Dunane) ELDRED of Urbana and Mrs. Donna (Harlan) DELL Of Clinton; three brothers, LaVerne KETELSEN of DeWitt, Alva KETELSEN, of Charlotte and Ronald KETELSEN of Clinton; two sisters, Esther PLOOG and Velma RICKERTSEN of Charlotte; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a grandson, four brothers and three sisters.
