Christian William ANDRESEN, an aged German resident, residing at 419 Elm street, took his own life shortly before 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon when he hung himself in his bedroom. He was found shortly afterward, dead. Ill-health for the past 20 years caused him to become temporarily insane, it is believed. Coroner M. E. Anderson was called and decided that no inquest was necessary. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the family home, with Rev. J. S. Leamer officiating. Burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.
Mr. Andresen gave no intimation of considering the rash act, having been talking to a neighbor just a few minutes before and his family was under the impression he had gone to his bed room to sleep.
Deceased was born in Langhorn, Germany, 74 years ago, coming to the United States with his wife and five children in 1883. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Henry WALDE of California, Mrs. Charles SPORMANN, Mrs. Clyde BROWN and Mrs. William PUMPER and two sons, Rudolph and Peter, of Clinton.
