Clinton - Daniel G. “Dan” Lantz age 52 of Clinton, Iowa died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 5th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ron Lantz, Gary Lantz, Kevin Ross, Mike McMahon, John McMahon and Bob McMahon. Honorary casket bearers will be the guys from Arco Fleeting.

Dan was born in Antigo, WI on January 8, 1958, the son of Al and Marge Stalker Lantz. He graduated from Mazon High School in 1976. Dan was employed at A.D.M.’s Arco Fleeting Service in Clinton. He enjoyed being on the river, fishing, camping and watching the Clinton Lumber Kings play. He was an avid Cubs and Bear fan, and enjoyed going on walks with his dog Zoe.

Dan is survived by his longtime companion, Kathy McMahon and their daughter Katelyn of Clinton; his son, Larry Lantz of Joliet; his parents, Al and Marge Lantz of Mazon; two brothers, Gary Lantz of Townsend, MT and Ron (Beth) Lantz of Mazon; two half-brothers, Rick (Annie) Lantz of Fairbanks, AK and Mike (Diane) Lantz of Aurora, WV and a sister-in-law, Brigit Lantz of Ashburn, MO. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, David. Memorials may be made to Katelyn’s educational fund. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
