(undated clipping, c. 1960)Mrs O. S. Dorsey, of 2726 N. 3rd St., died at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill. She had been visiting in the home of her son Ben in Arlington Heights. the body is at Pape funeral home where friends may call after 4 p. m. today.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p. m. Tuesday with Rev. Jerry Wolcott officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1883, to James and Sarah Armstrong McFarland in Maquoketa. On Feb. 22, 1905, she was married to Orton Scott Dorsey at Stromsberg, Neb. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by six sons, Howard of McHenry, Ill., Thomas of Peoria, Ill., Stanley and Orville of clinton and twin sons Ben of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Glenn of Oak park, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Alta) Cavanaugh, Mrs. Vera Steudeman, and Mrs. Merle (Betty) McClintock, all of Clinton; one brother, William McFarland of Chico, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and several nephew and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son in infancy, and five sisters.
