Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Ryan

Elizabeth “Betty” Margaret Ryan, 96, of Clinton passed away September 21, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at The Church of Visitation, Camanche. Father Richard Okumo will be officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 P.M. at Lemke Funeral Homes, NORTH CHAPEL, 2304 North 2nd Street, Clinton. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Cemetery.

Betty was born on December 27, 1913 in Sugar Creek, Iowa, to Matthew and Caroline ( Droste ) Determan. Betty graduated from Mt. St. Clair Academy in 1931. She married Francis Ryan February 27, 1933 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sugar Creek, Iowa. Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of Diocese of Catholic Women, Prince of Peace Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed playing cards, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Jonelle Dedrick, of Seattle, Washington, her son Patrick (Christine) Ryan, of Pine Hurst, North Carolina, 12 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Donna, her son- in law, Lee, 1 sister and 6 brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Betty Ryan Memorial Fund at The Sarah Harding Home.
