Hazel Mains

Hazel Maxine Mains, 88, of Clinton died Monday, August 16, 2010 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton.

Funeral services will be 10:30am, Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 â?? 7PM, Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Hazel was born August 27, 1921 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Ethel (Gilbert) Reynolds. She married Dewayne Tannahill in Forest City, Iowa on May 19, 1938; he died November 8, 1967. She later married Walter Mains on January 20, 1973 in Clinton.
She was employed at GE in Morrison, Illinois for many years retiring in 1981. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and former member of Zion Lutheran Church, She enjoyed camping and fishing.

She is survived by her husband, Walter of Clinton; son, Curtis L. (Maylouise K.)Tannahill of Coal Valley, IL; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Sharon K. Earles and Dixie L. Duncan; step-son, James Lee Mains and 12 brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to the family.
