The Clinton Herald; Saturday November 18, 1933; p. 3. Mrs. Bridget Agnes Murphy, nee Lynch, died at 6 o'clock Friday evening in her home, 3301 Garfield street, at the age of eighty-five years. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning in St. Irenaeus church and burial will be in Calvary cemetery, beside her husband and daughter, Agnes.
Bridget Agnes Lynch was born in Castlereigh, County Roscommon, Ireland, and came to America at the age of sixteen years, living first in Elk River township. She was married in Bryant to James Murphy who died in 1901.
Her home had been in Clinton for the last sixty-five years. She leaves three daughters, Sister Mary Amata, of DeKalb, Ill. and the Misses Lucy and Winnie Murphy, and two sons, J.J. and T.V. Murphy, all of Clinton.
