Clinton - Robert J. “Bob” Still age 70 of Clinton died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. In following Bob’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. The family hopes that you will join them in a celebration of Bob’s life to be held on Friday, September 3rd at the Eagle’s Club at 6:00 P.M. Come and share a story and raise a toast in Bob’s memory. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Bob was born in Clinton on December 9, 1939, the son of Joseph and Kathleen McGraw Still. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1957. He served with the Clinton National Guard for eight years. Bob married Sally Westman in June of 1974. Bob worked with Rasmussen Distributing and later with Carry Transit out of Keokuk retiring in 2009. His grandsons were the joy of his life. Bob coached the Clinton Junior Football “Bears” team for many years winning several city championships. He also had served as president on the Clinton Junior Baseball Board.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Sally; his children; Cory H. Still of Ames, Jody K. (Tara) Still and Papa’s boys, Merick and Parker of Clinton, Lisa M. Thompson and Bapa’s twin boys, Nicholas and Nathan of Clinton and Deb (Mike) Kruckenberg and their children of Clinton and his mother and father-in-law, Melvin and Jacqueline Steffey of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ron and a grand daughter. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
