Arldine Hansen

Arldine “Jerry” Hansen, 81, of Clinton, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Alverno.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, Morrison, Illinois. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Arldine Ruth Hansen was born on March 1, 1929 in Grayslake, Illinois, the daughter of William Howard and Ruth Elizabeth (Hoffman) Weaver. She married Edwin Henry Hansen on April 5, 1952; he later died September 10, 1986.

Jerry worked for numerous years as a cook for the Moose Club. She had many interests in her life. She was passionate about needlework of any kind, she loved reading, crosswords, cards, camping, and visitng her children and grandchildren. She loved to offer a helping hand an put everyone’s needs ahead of her own.

Jerry is survived by her five children: Terry Voss of Davenport, Iowa; Diane (Gail) Vegter of Tomah, Wisconsin; Susan (Paul) Ryan of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Richard (Kym) Hansen of Clinton, Iowa, and Donna (Randy) May of Clinton, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; her brother: Richard (Beth Hosey) Weaver of Brandon, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
