Robert J. Fulton Jr.

Robert Joseph Fulton, Jr., 77 of Clinton, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center, North. Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday June 24, 2010 at the Clinton Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

He was born July 10, 1932 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Robert J. and Marian Catherine (Murphy) Fulton, Sr. He attended St. Mary's High School. Robert married Alice Martin November 9, 1955 in Clinton, IA.

He had been employed as a Pan Operator at Clinton Corn Processing for 31 years and as a custodian for the Clinton Community School district for 14 years. Robert was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ; he was a very avid Hawkeye fan, enjoyed walking and biking and loved his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of Clinton; daughter, Robin Ann (Stephen) Spencer of West Des Moines, IA; sons, Robert J. (Tracey) Fulton, III of Silvis, IL and Michael J. (Barbara) Fulton of West Branch, IA; four grandsons and a granddaughter, Brent, Danielle, Alex, Mark and Christopher (Melissa), and his brother, James Marion (Bonnie) Fulton of Clinton. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters, Stephanie and Sarah, brother, John and sister, Rita.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
