Arthur F. Jackson, 94, of 2227 Camanche Ave., died in his home today.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home with the Rev. E. A. Henrichs of Chancy Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Terry, James, Robert and John King, Ron Melchiori, John Minor, Randy Gilbert and Wayne Simmons.
Mr. Jackson was born 7 Jun 1885 in Clinton, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Koepp Jackson. He married Adelta Koons March 11, 1914 in Clinton. He retired in 1955 as a switchman for Chicago North Western Railroad after 55 years of service. He worked for the railroad in the Oklahoma territory before it was a state.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Helen) Cook, Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Melchiori, Mrs. Bernard (Dorothy) King, Mrs. John (Pearl) King and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Brown, all of Clinton; two sons, James of Indianapolis, and Gary of Camanche; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a brother.
