Mrs. Adelta M. Jackson, 83, of 2227 Camanche Ave., died Monday in Jane Lamb Health Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, Clinton with Jane Lamb Health Center chaplain Horst Hehr officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Terry, James, and John King, Ron Melchiori, John Minor, Wayne Simmons, Randy Gilbert, and Steve Schrader.

Mrs. Jackson was born July 25, 1899, in Clinton, to Frank and Meila Miller Koons. She married Arthur F. Jackson on March 11, 1914, in Clinton.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Helen) Cook, Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Melchiori, Mrs. Bernard (Dorothy) King, Mrs. John R. (Pearl) King, and Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Brown, all of Clinton; two sons, James D. of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gary R. of Camanche, 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Dave (Emily) Decker of Clinton and Miss Grace Koons, both of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, a granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.
