James P. "Jim" Hodge, Jr. - 41
3/4/1969 - 5/6/2010

Camanche - James P. “Jim” Hodge, Jr. age 41 of Camanche passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his home of a pulmonary embolism. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 9th at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with burial to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Jim was born in Chicago on March 4, 1969 and raised by John “Lucky” and Patricia Luedtke. He graduated from Clinton High School and received his BA Degree from Mt. St. Clare College. Jim married Julie Carstensen on March 7, 1992. Jim was a counselor at a youth academy in Clarinda, Iowa for several years.

Jim was a loving husband and devoted father. He loved his boys immensely. He coached their little league baseball and football teams and helped with all the other activities his boys pursued. He was a loyal Chicago Cub and Bear fan and enjoyed the company of his dog “Maddux”.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Julie of Camanche; his sons, Alex and Justin, both at home; his parents, J.L. “Lucky” Luedtke of Clinton and Patricia Cable of Rockford; two brothers, Frank (Peggy) Hodge of Geneseo and Steven Luedtke of Clinton; two sisters, Kathy (Blake) Pennock and Cassy Luedtke both of Clinton and his in-laws, Janet and Gary Carstensen of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his birth father, James P. Hodge, Sr. and his grandparents. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
