Clinton, Iowa - Berniece L. Guidebeck age 82 of Clinton died Thursday April 29, 2010 in Clinton. Visitation will be held Monday 5 – 7 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Following the visitation, cremation rites will be accorded and a Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 5th at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Berniece was born on April 5, 1928 in Anamosa, IA, the daughter of John and Eliese (Onken) Tholen. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1946. She married Ronald Guidebeck on Aug. 7, 1948 in Clinton, he died March 6, 2010. Berniece worked at Clinton County Schools as a clerk for 22 years and as a Deputy with the Clinton County Recorders Office for 14 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Berniece is survived by her daughter, Susan Kay Cook of Port Richey, FL; two sons, Gary E. (Diana) Guidebeck of Decatur, IL and James R. Guidebeck of Weeki Wachee, FL; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and three sisters.
