Lakewood, CO - Olive Harmsen age 96 of Lakewood, CO died Wednesday April 28th, 2010, at the Lakewood Meridian Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, May 4th , at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. Visitation will be held Monday 5 – 7 pm at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Chuck Claussen, Robert Claussen, Ronald Claussen, Stan Harmsen, Wayne Harmsen, and Gerald Miller.

Olive was born on Feb. 3, 1914, in Charlotte, IA, the daughter of John and Clara (Larsen) Claussen. She attended Coe College and was a teacher for several years. She married Leo Harmsen on July 5, 1939 in Goose Lake. He died in 1996. She was an active partner in their Teeds Grove farm operation and was involved in numerous community activities. She was a long time active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, and of the Order of Eastern Star.

Olive is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Richard) Kiefer of Arvada, CO; three grandchildren and a great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
