Clinton, Iowa - David L. Stauffer age 84 of Clinton, died Monday April 12, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

David was born on March 1, 1926 in Clinton, IA, the son of Harry and Mathilda (Lytle) Stauffer. David worked at Turner’s Iron and Metal in south Clinton for many years. He enjoyed science fiction movies, car rides, the Mississippi river, and his cats.

David is survived by his sister, Darlene Trude of Bellevue, IA and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers, and two sisters. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com
