William Robert Holt

William Robert Holt, 84, of Clinton, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the service hour.

William Robert Holt was born April 29, 1925 in Bells, Tennessee, the son of Robert Lee and Desi (Jenkins) Holt. He married Hazel Butler in Carrent, Mississippi on May 9, 1946; she died November 11, 1976. He later married Norma Jean Harvey, August 20, 1977 in Bellevue, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 2004.

William was a graduate of Preston High School. He was employed as an electrician for the city of Preston as a lineman. He was a WWII United States Navy Veteran.

He was a member of the Preston American Legion and a former member of Bellevue Presbyterian Church.

William is survived by three daughters: Marilyn Chisholm of Clinton; Alisa (George) Aney of Clinton; and Wanda Martin of Mesa, Arizona; one son: Donald N. (Teresa) Holt of St. Peters, Missouri; two step-daughters: Jane Loveless and Lisa Hudson both of Mesa, Arizona; one step-son: Mark Harvey of Littleton, Colorado; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to his wives he is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda, his parents, one brother, and six sisters.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
