Betty Jane Caves
(June 15, 1927 - December 4, 2009)

Betty Jane (Mrs. Carl) Caves, 82, McCausland, died Friday afternoon, at Monroe Care Center, Albia.
She was born June 15, 1927 in Ottumwa. Betty was a Licensed Pratical Nurse and worked at the former Osteopathic Hospital, Davenport. She enjoyed needle point and crocheting.

Surving are sons, Albert Caves, Phoenix, Harold Caves and his wife, Brenda, Grand Mound, Garry Caves and his wife, Wendy, McCausland, and Joe Caves and his wife, Sally, Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Darlene Boeding, Low Moor; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Billy Colwald; sisters, Helen of Chariton, and Dorothy and Maude of Albion.

Preceding Betty in death were her husband, sons, Bill and Paul, her parents and brothers, Donald, James and Everett.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
