Glen Logsdon, Sr.
(May 11, 1931 - December 17, 2009

Glen Logsdon, 78, Princeton, died early Thursday morning, December 17, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.
Glen was born May 11, 1931 in Cincinnati, Iowa, to John and Alpha Mae (Johnson) Logsdon. He was united in marriage to Wanda Lee Smith February 11, 1950 in Mendota, Missouri. Glen worked much of his life as a Journeyman Machinist, in earlier years working at Rockingham Machine in Pleasant Valley. He retired from Quad City Engineering in 1996.

He enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing, hunting, photography, gardening, and walking his dog, Kessy. Most recently he enjoyed watching outdoor programs.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Wanda; children, Glen (Louise) Logsdon, Grand Mound, Loretta (Steve) Hoffman, Calamus, and Deborah (Paul) Campbell, Toronto; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Nova Logsdon, Des Moines, and Donald Logsdon, Cincinnati, Iowa.

Preceding Glen in death were his parents, brothers, Bert, Vern Vaughn and a sister, Dorothy VanBlaircom.

Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Kelsey officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the family.
