Diann Joyce Evers
(April 6, 1934 - April 2, 2010)

Diann J. Evers, 75, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

Diann was born April 6, 1934 in Clinton, Iowa to Harold and Helen (Kuehl) Smith. She married Richard Evers on May 20, 1956 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa.

She was a member of Elvira Zion Lutheran Church and its Naomi Circle. Diann enjoyed baking, quilting, sewing Christmas tree skirts, playing cards, being with her friends and family and having people over to socialize. She was a very thoughtful and giving person and was known for sending cards to her friends and family. She had a wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, DeWitt; children, Julie (Randy) Hart, Calamus, IA, Joni Evers, DeWitt, IA., Mark (Dana) Evers, Clinton, IA., Michael (Gloria) Evers, Clinton, IA, 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren due this Summer, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one dear Aunt Marian.

Visitation will be 3:00 until 7:00 on Tuesday at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. Services will be 10:30 on Wednesday at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church wth Pastor Jane Rothman officiating. Pallbearers will be Harlan Marx, Keith Jensen, Bill Buech, Glen Gradert, Richard Goers and Bill Schrader. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Westwing or Elvira Zion Lutheran Church.
