DeWitt — Rubye E. Huber, 94, died on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Mercy Living Center North, Clinton.

She was born May 28, 1915, in Reynolds, Illinois to Ernest and Florence Mahaffey McLaughlin. On August 22, 1938, she married Lyman “Pete” Huber in Rock Island, Illinois. He died April 12, 1989.

Rubye enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and reading.

Survivors include her children, Daniel (Sandra) Huber, Webster City, IA, Suzanne (Gary) Thompson, Morrison, CO, Nancy Levsen, Round Rock, TX, and Deliah (Darryl E) Blinkinsop, Clinton, IA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Arlene Grigsby; and one grandson, Rick.

Visitation will be 3 until 7 p.m. on Monday, April 5, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. The Rev. Bill Huff will officiate. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Schultz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
