Morrison, Ill. — Loretta J. Vander Vinne, 82, of Morrison, died Saturday at Mercy Medical Center, South, Clinton, IA.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Edie Lenz, pastor of First Reformed Church in Fulton, Ill., will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.

Memorials may be made to First Reformed Church, Fulton, IL.

She was born June 20, 1927, in Fulton, IL, to Henry R. and Tena (Huizenga) Kramer.

Loretta was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School, Fulton, IL.

She married Maurice Vander Vinne on October 8, 1948, in Fulton, IL; he survives.

Maurice and Loretta farmed in the rural Morrison area. She was employed as an Avon representative for over 40 years and was a member of Avon’s Presidents Club.

Loretta was a member of First Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, and served as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years and also served as superintendent. She was a member and past president of the Morrison Wa-Tan-Ye Club. Loretta enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice; two daughters, Judy (Lloyd) Rasmussen of Kensington, MD, and Nancy (Allen) Dykstra of Morrison, IL; two sons, Roger (Lynda) Vander Vinne of Rochester, IN, and Steven (Lori) Vander Vinne of Moline, IL; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lavece Temple of Thomson, IL; one brother, Henry (Doris) Kramer of Fulton, IL; and one brother-in-law, Elmer Vander Eide of Fulton, IL.
