Lifestyle EditorCLINTON — Shirley A. Jacobsen, 73, of Clinton, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Shirley Ann Morrow was born on May 31, 1936, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Edna (Hansen) Morrow.
She was a graduate of Clinton High School. She was a bartender for many years at the Clinton Moose Lodge. She also was a nurse’s aide at the Eagle Point Nursing Home.
She was a volunteer with the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and the Study Connection with the Clinton Community School District.
She is survived by three sons, Shawn (Paula) Gehl of New Jersey, Robert Gehl of Clinton and Corey (Mary) Burmeister of Clinton; her daughter, Mary (Dave) Hynous of Clinton; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Verne Morrow of Camanche and Gary (Diana) Morrow of Clarksville, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a sister and a brother.
