CLINTON — Shirley F. Hensel, age 73, of Clinton, died Friday Feb. 19, 2010, at Wheatland Manor in Wheatland, IA. According to family wishes, there will be no visitation or services; cremation rites will take place and inurnment will be at Lusk Cemetery in Albany, IL, at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Shirley was born on June 23, 1936, in Clinton, the daughter of Robert and Ailene (Dorathy) Fuller. She married Herman A. Hensel on Sept. 30, 1953, in Clinton. Shirley was a homemaker and had worked at A.C. Nielsen Co. as a coupon sorter for over seven years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading and caring for her house plants. Shirley is survived by her husband, Herman, of Clinton; three sons, Steven (Sheila) Hensel, Daniel Hensel and Gary (Kris) Hensel all of Clinton; a daughter, Susan (Keith) Pinkston of Clinton; six grandchildren, Steve, Rachel, Mike, Jessica, Angela and Bijan; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Madison and Gavin; three brothers, Robert Fuller of Silvis, IL, David (Jan) Fuller of Charlotte and Tom (Bonnie) Fuller of Clinton.
