CLINTON — Lola Jeanne Johnson, 82, of Clinton, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009, at Eagle Point Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lola was born April 22, 1927, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of John and Ruth (Foss) Witt. Lola married Wilfred (Bud) Johnson on August 19, 1960, in Clinton, Iowa. He passed away in 2006. Lola worked for Swift Co., Collis, Dairy Pack and also did in home childcare. Lola was a lifetime Cubs fan and she also enjoyed bingo, jeopardy and tending to her flowers.Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Trude of Camanche, Trish (Jeff) Devers and Cindy Johnson, Camanche; three sons, Richard (Rosie) Wentworth, Camanche, Rodney (Margaret) Wentworth, Camanche and Robert (Cheryle) Johnson of Tomah, Wisconsin; 4 sisters, Margaret (Vern) Hazlett, Cordova, IL, Marlene (Mel) Hagen, Arizona, Linda Rassmasen, Clinton, Doris (Leroy) Batey of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother, Gary Witt of Viola, IL; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her pallbearers will be Brad Johnson, Arnie Trude, Dale Hansen, Dave Carber, Rob Taylor and Matt Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
