CLINTON — Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Petersen, 68, of Clinton, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 4 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. until the service time on Wednesday. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Humane Society. Elizabeth was born March 10, 1941, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Dodge) Boyer. Elizabeth married David Petersen on September 4, 1962, in Morrison, IL. Elizabeth was a homemaker. She enjoyed the casino, family and grandchildren, traveling and loved animals. Survivors include her husband, David; 3 daughters, Debra Petersen of Clinton, Annette Schuster, LeClaire; Theresa (Mark) Boisen, Clinton; 1 son, Jim Petersen, Clinton; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; 1 sister, Bonnie Weise, Sarasota, Florida; 1 brother, Russell Boyer, Clinton. Pallbearers will be Mark Boisen, Sid Johnson, Alan Clarke, Candel Salazar, Lane Boisen and Shaun Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
