FULTON, Ill. — Marian J. Merema, 84, of Fulton, died Friday, October 2, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Renkes officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, Clinton, IA, and Lymphoma Research Foundation.She was born June 10, 1925, in Fenton, IL, to Peter L. and Flora (Heun) Temple. She was educated in the Fenton Grade School, Fenton, IL.She married Bert S. Merema on April 6, 1945, in Erie, IL. She was a member of First Reformed Church, Fulton, IL.Marian was a devoted wife and mother. Survivors include her husband, Bert; one daughter, Viola M. (Ralph) Pray of Fulton, IL; three sons, Robert L. (Leslie) Merema of Fulton, IL, Stanley M. (Kathy) Merema of Fulton, IL, and Roger S. (Terri) Merema of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Roby Merema, Shaun (Kori) Merema, Ryan (Carrie) Merema and Corey (Vanessa) Merema; twelve great- grandchildren; four sisters, Josephine M. Boelkins of Chadwick, IL, Betty (Bill) Schaver of Fulton, IL, Genevieve (Harlan) Tiesman of Fulton, IL, and Beverly (Jim) Naftzger of Erie, IL; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn Temple of Erie, IL.
