FULTON, Ill. — Evelyn M. (Simpson) Mayer, age 79, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday Oct. 3, 2009, at her home. A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulton. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the charity of your choice. Evelyn was born on May 18, 1930, in Salix, IA, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Lussier) Kauper. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1948. She married Robert Simpson on Nov. 18, 1951, in Clinton; he died in 1979. She later married Gerald Mayer on June 22, 1985, in Clinton; he died in 1993. She was a homemaker and worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Boardway and as a rebate clerk for A.C. Nielsen Co in Clinton. She was a member of the Immaculte Conception Church in Fulton. Evelyn is survived by her four children, John Simpson of Clinton, Jeff Simpson of Orlando, FL, Gary (Christy) Simpson of Morrison, IL, and Anne (Ian) Walsh of Ft. Mill, SC; four grandchildren, Amanda Fall, Joshua Simpson, Brianna Simpson and Logan Walsh; two sisters, Donna Hinrichsen of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Bonnie (Joel) Sadler of Charlotte, NC; four brothers, Roy (Mary) Kauper of Edgerton, WI, Ed Kimmer of Clinton, Robert (Kathy) Kimmer of Camanche and Wesley (Arlene) Kimmer of Clinton; her sister-in-law, Ginny Kimmer of Fulton, IL; and a special family friend, Dr. Richard Betts of Orlando, FL.
