Watlington, Lonnie C. "Cochise" View/Sign Guest Book

CLINTON — Lonnie C. "Cochise" Watlington, age 37, of Clinton, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2nd, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service time Friday at the funeral home. Following the services, cremation rites will be accorded. Lonnie was born in Washington, D.C., on August 23, 1972, the son of Lonnie T. and Rachael Anne Stone Watlington. His father died when Lonnie was very young and he was raised by his mother, Rachael, and his stepfather, Bobby Ayers. Lonnie graduated from Gettysburg High School in Gettysburg, PA, and attended the Thaddeus Steven Technical School, also in Pennsylvania.Lonnie married Dawn Andrews on September 15, 2000, in Clinton. Lonnie contracted to perform delivery services for the Clinton Herald and the Quad-City Times. He enjoyed the NASCAR races and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Dawn; his stepfather, Bobby Ayers of Gettysburg; a brother, Abdul Malik Muhammad, his wife, Christine, of Wilmington, DE; a niece, a nephew; his mother-in-law, Janet Klitz of Clinton; and his father-in-law, Martin Andrews of East Moline, IL.
