MORRISON, Ill. — Marguerite Tegeler, 92, of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, IL, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Philip Stel, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the funeral service at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fenton Cemetery, Fenton, IL. Memorials may be made to Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL.She was born March 25, 1917, in Newton Township, IL, to Everett and Lizzie (Huizenga) Strating.Marguerite was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools.She married Kenneth "Skinner" Tegeler on May 8, 1936, in Newton Township, IL; he died October 30, 1965. Marguerite was employed by Vend O Mack Sales, Morrison, IL, for several years. She also enjoyed being a homemaker. Marguerite was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, strawberries, needlework and spending time with family and grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters, Wilma Tegeler of Morrison, IL, Verna (Arden) Anderson of Chadwick, IL, Mary Tegeler of Dowagiac, MI, Karen (Bob) Sweikar of Champaign, IL, Debra Liles of Mount Prospect, IL; two sons, Kenny (Gayle) Tegeler of Fenton, IL, and Roger (Debbie) Tegeler of Morrison, IL; eleven grandchildren: Cyndi (Kregg) Farmer, Jody (Jim) Mertz; Daniel (Susan) Sweikar, Kristine Sweikar; Brian (Tammy) Tegeler, Bret Tegeler, Shawn Tegeler, Mitchell (Jill) Tegeler; Melissa (Randall) Planthaber, Bradley (Kim) Tegeler and Eric (Latisha Truitt) Tegeler; and nineteen great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; one granddaughter, Valerie Hale; four sisters, Henrietta Decker, Mabel Buikema, Jennie Reedy, Irene Kramer; and three brothers, John, Harry and Alvin Strating.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: Sept. 28, 2009#
