CORALVILLE — Francis "Bud" Behan, 82 of Coralville, passed away peacefully in his home on September 23, 2009, after a long illness.Francis was born April 5, 1927 in Clinton County, Iowa, the son of Agnes and Francis Behan. He married Mary Jane Eastman in Moline, Illinois in 1978. His body has been donated to the University of Iowa Medical School. Per Bud's request, no services will be held. Francis attended grade school in Clinton County and graduated from Sabula High School. He served in the Navy during World War II, aboard the battleship Mississippi, in the South Pacific. Bud was present at the peace signing in Tokyo Bay. He managed stores for the "National Tea Company" for some years. Bud was employed as a plumber in Clinton, Iowa and had owned and operated a number of businesses in the City of Clinton.He is survived by one stepson, Jon Eastman of Coralville; sons, Michael Behan and David Behan of Sabula, Iowa; and his daughter, Pamela Wright of Savanna, Illinois.Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Bud's family and his arrangements.Death date: Sept. 23, 2009
