MAQUOKETA — Marjorie R. Kammerer, 80, of Maquoketa, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Crestridge Nursing Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2610 Manufacturing Drive. Pastor Jean Bruinsma will be officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane Housenga, Robert and Matthew Smith, Jamie, Cory, and Mike Kammerer. Marjorie was born July 6, 1929 in Clinton the daughter of Earl and Marie (Sorenson) McCune. Marjorie graduated from Lyons High School in 1946. Marjorie married Harold Kammerer October 18, 1947 in Clinton. Marjorie worked for Farm and Fleet for over 20 Years. She loved the outdoors, tending to her flowers, fishing, painting pictures, and doll making. Survivors include her husband Harold of Maquoketa; 1 daughter, Sandi Levin, of Florida; 2 Sons, Steven ( Susan ) Kammerer, of Morrison, Il., Brent ( Lorrie ) Kammerer, of Le Claire, Ia.; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, 1 sister Elsie Jensen, and 1 brother John Mc Cune both of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Keith Kammerer, her grandson, Ryan Kammerer, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
