MORRISON — Richard A. Johnson, age 62, of Morrison, died Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Morrison Community Hospital. Richard was born June 4, 1947 in Dixon, IL the son of Robert D. and Geraldine (Brown) Johnson. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1966 and from Marycrest University in Davenport, IA. He married Marilyn Stralow on October 18, 1985 in Morrison. He was employed by Lyondell, formerly known as Equistar, in Clinton for 35 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morrison and was a member of the Lake Erie Country Club. Richard enjoyed woodcarving and was an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Morrison, IL; his children, Rhonda (Scott) Morris of Clinton, IA, Alison Krebs of Goose Lake, IA, Bob (Gwen) Stralow of Bloomingdale, IL, Amy Johnson of Goose Lake, IA, Jennifer (Nate Folkers) Schilling of Monticello, IA, and Mark Johnson of Coralville, IA; one sister, Linda (Jack) Dutchess of Tehachapi, CA; twelve grandchildren, Andrew Morris, Krissy Morris, Megan Heusinkveld, Rachel Morris, Amanda Morris, Lauren Krebs, Alana Hinrichs, Tyler Schilling, Malinda Schilling, Jaelynn Folkers, Kayla Folkers, and Haleigh Folkers; and his two dogs, Casey and Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morrison with Reverend Mike Winkelman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton. A private burial will take place on Saturday.
