SEATTLE — Dr. Mary Jo Thola, 52, of Seattle, WA, formerly of Bellevue, IA, passed peacefully after her battle with breast cancer on September 12, 2009. She went to heaven to join Jesus and her mom. She was surrounded by family and friends. Mary Jo was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, Doctor of Chiropractic and friend. She was born November 19, 1956, to Marilyn Jean (Budde) and Lloyd Thola Sr. of Bellevue, IA. She is survived by her father, Lloyd (Kathy) Thola, Clinton, IA; her brothers and sisters, Lloyd Jr. (Corryn) Thola, Burlington, IA; Robert (Sheila) Thola, Zwingle, IA; Lorin Thola/Cathy, Dallas, TX; JoAnn Thola/Mike, Dubuque, IA; Sheri (Wade) Kahn, Cataldo, ID; Donna (Eric) Bottman, Mullan, ID; Dwain (Carol) Thola, Lake City, MI; Delbert (Shannon) Thola, Benson, AZ; and Karen (Keith) Smith, Davenport, IA; stepsisters, the late Vicki (Mark) Regenwether, Clinton, IA; Leslie (John) Yahn, Clinton, IA; and Andrea (Chris) Barnett, Fulton, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her mother and stepsister. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Bellevue Catholic Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009. A luncheon will be served immediately following the ceremony at Second Street Station, Bellevue, IA.Death date: Sept. 12, 2009
