CLINTON — Thelma I. Halverson, 93, of Clinton, died Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton. Graveside services will be noon on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at Sorden Cemetery in Keswick, IA. Thelma Irene Halverson was born on December 1, 1915, in southern Iowa, the daughter of Sherman and Ruth (McKay) Moore. She is graduate of Keswick High School. She married Raymond O. Halverson on August 23, 1942, in rural Keswick, IA; he died on January 7, 2003. She was a homemaker and had previously been employed with Clinton Community Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. She is survived by one son, Don (Mary) Halverson; 1 grandson, Adam Halverson; 1 great-grandson; 2 great-granddaughters; and one sister, Lois Augustine.
