ALBANY, Ill. — Ronald R. Whitten, 75, of Albany, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services.He was born April 14, 1934, in Tecumseh, OK, to Charlie O. and Emma Jewel (Sweaney) Whitten. He first married Grace Faulkner on June 2, 1954, in Roswell, NM. He then married Vicky L. Huizenga on February 10, 1979, in Albany, IL; she survives. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.He was a member of the Fulton Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Vicky; four daughters, Roni (Daniel) Mitchell of Cape Haze, FL, Penny Zuidema of Morrison, IL, Kathy Utley of Rockton, IL, and Cindy (Peter) Petersen of Clinton, IA; two sons, Robert (Christine) Whitten of Fulton, IL, and H. Glen Whitten of Ada, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one brother, Walter "Bud" (Dee) Whitten of McDonough, GA.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Whitten; one grandson, Clifford May; and one sister, Judy Redding.To send online condolences go to www.bosmarenkes.com.Death date: Aug. 25, 2009
