TAYLOR RIDGE, Ill. — Jack D. Roos 48, from Taylor Ridge, IL, was received into heaven on Aug. 12th, 2009. Jack was born July 16th, 1961, to Paul and Shirley Roos (Plumley) in Morrison, IL. Jack graduated from Erie High School and was a life long professional truck driver. Jack married Linda Conwell on Dec. 23, 2002. Trucking was not only a profession for Jack but also a hobby. As an owner operator, he could be seen traveling the roads of the nation in a chromed out CAT powered Kenworth proudly displaying Roos Trucking on the door. When Jack wasn't trucking he enjoyed tuning and driving his Panther Pink Hemi Cuda, cruising on his Harley or taking snowmobile trips. Jack is survived by his wife Linda; brothers Paul and Steve and sister, Gerry. He was preceded in death by his parents and father in-law, Hugh Conwell. A memorial service, followed by a luncheon, will be held at Erie United Methodist Church in Erie, IL, on Aug. 22nd at 12:30 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to Linda Roos c/o Jack Roos PO Box 1373 Milan IL 61264.
