The Clinton Herald Monday November 10, 1986 p. 12 Gladys M. Delaney, 88, of 305 4th Ave. S., former co-owner of the Delaney Funeral Home, died Friday at Jane Lamb Health Center. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Doyle officiating. A 10:30 a.m. prayer service will precede the Mass in Delaney-Vullich Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a joint St. Mary's Parich and Daughters of Isabella rosary recited at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Macke, Vernon Rosenberger, Donald Noonen, Benjamin Carr, Michael Clemence and Clinton Burkley. Mrs. Delaney was born Jan. 29, 1898, in Clinton, to Henry and Anna Lund McNabb. She married Steve M. Delaney Sr., Aug. 29, 1922, in Clinton. He died in 1937. She was the co-owner of the Delaney Funeral Home from 1937 until her retirement in 1978; a member of the St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Alter and Rosary Society, Daughters of Isabella and Royal Neighbors of America Olive Camp No. 501. She was past president of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, and during World War II, was Birthday Piano Player at Schick General Hospital, Clinton. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Merk (Anna Marie) Vullich of Clinton; and a grandson, Mark Vullich, of Clinton. She was preceded in death by a brother and a son.
